Blast furnace slag granulate is produced by processing blast furnace slag. It is formed by rapid cooling of slag melt with an average CaO content of 35%.

In the production of Portland slag cements of classes II /A-S and II /B-S, blast-furnace cements (classes III /A, III /B, and III /C), mixed cements (classes V /A and V /B), hydraulic lime. It can be used as a slow-setting binder for road base layers.
